Artist Statement

I find glass a wonderful medium of expression because of its translucent, luminescent and unpredictable nature.  The transparent character of glass and its associations with display as well as reflection make it the perfect medium for communicating concepts centered on ideas of duality.  I focus on femininity and the many pressures that surround one from within and without.  As a medium, glass has an emotional link to the feminine mind, referencing mirrors and the fragility of (past/present) emerging sexuality, self-image and the symbols thereof.
